Manolo, as friends called him, was fundamental for the evolution of this house, since with him we developed the Auditorium model. It was the first time we used that material to get more power, but always keeping in mind that we wouldn’t sacrifice sound quality for more volume. We wanted to preserve what many call the “Ramirez sound”.
Manuel examined and touched each of the tests we did, always willing to accompany us on the path of this research. The taste and musicality that he recreated in his way of playing the instrument made him the best “guinea pig” we could ask for an opinion. He was always generous and that collaboration was fundamental in our trajectory.
Cristina and José Enrique Ramírez (5th generation) received the award after an emotional speech by Marta Tirado (guitarist, teacher, member of the Manuel Babiloni Foundation and inseparable companion of Manolo). Undoubtedly this has been one of the most important awards for Casa Ramirez in recent years and as always, it has been a pleasure to share moments with Elvira Babiloni and Marta Tirado.
