The “Como un sueño” tour was Serranito’s farewell to the stage, marking the end of a long artistic career marked by numerous successes.
Today we bring you an interview with the great guitarist before the tour, where he reviews his professional career and talks about José Ramírez.
Interview with Victor Monge Serranito
During the interview, Serranito says that for him, Ramírez guitars are essential, since he has been playing them since he was 12 years old. He also says that José Ramírez was like a second father to him, always accompanying and advising him.
He also looks back on his almost 70-year career and shows his excitement at the start of his tour “Como un sueño”, as well as the receipt of the Medalla de Oro al Mérito de las Bellas Artes in 2019.
On the other hand, he remembers Paco de Lucía and Manolo Sanlúcar, who together with Serranito marked a golden era for the flamenco guitar. In this way, together they created a good friendship full of great memories and anecdotes.
Finally, he talks about Diego del Morao and José Antonio Rodríguez, showing the admiration he feels for them.
