It has 6 metallic orders (6 double strings) that are pulsed with the help of a pick. It was an instrument that had its final development around the 80s of the 19th century.

The tuning we use is the following: A (1st), E (2nd), B (3rd), F # (4th), D # (5th), G # (6th). It is an octave lower than the Bandurria.
