The Bienal Flamenco Madrid 2025, to be held from 23 May to 6 June, represents a milestone in the promotion and dissemination of flamenco art in the Spanish capital. Organised by the Madrid City Council and under the artistic direction of Ángel Rojas, this first edition aims to consolidate Madrid as an international reference point for flamenco.
Víctor Monge ‘Serranito’ Guitar Series
One of the highlights of the programme is the Víctor Monge ‘Serranito’ Guitar Series, which pays tribute to one of the great masters of flamenco guitar. This cycle includes recitals by outstanding guitarists in the emblematic San Isidro Museum.

25 May, 13:00 h: Antonia Jiménez will give a recital in the museum’s courtyard.

31 May, 13:00 h: Carlos de Jacoba will present his art on the same stage.

1 June, 13:00 h: Víctor Franco will close the cycle with his performance.
These concerts, free of charge until full capacity is reached, offer a unique opportunity to enjoy flamenco guitar in a historic setting.
Dieciocho Cuerdas: a meeting of masters
On 28 April at 21:30, the Teatro Español will host ‘Dieciocho Cuerdas’, a concert that will bring together three emblematic figures of flamenco guitar: Gerardo Núñez, Dani de Morón and Joni Jiménez. This show promises to be one of the highlights of the biennial, offering an incomparable musical experience.
Commitment to flamenco and beyond
With this biennial, the Community of Madrid demonstrates its firm commitment to flamenco, especially flamenco guitar. However, at Guitarras Ramírez we hope that this support will also extend to other expressions of the Spanish guitar, such as classical, jazz, pop, rock and popular music. The diversity and richness of the guitar deserve to be celebrated in all its forms.
