An album that fuses tradition and modernity
The Chilean-Spanish duo Emilia and Pablo have released their long-awaited second album, Isla Virtuosa, consolidating a unique artistic proposal. Their style mixes Latin American folklore with flamenco influences and contemporary elements, creating their own emotional and deeply evocative sound.
This new work, already available on platforms such as Spotify, is made up of nine songs. It explores the connection with the roots and creative freedom, offering a sonorous and intimate journey that connects with the listener from the first chord.
A presentation in style
The official presentation of the album took place on 22 March in the Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal, within the framework of the Festival Internacional de Arte Sacro (FIAS) 2025 of the Comunidad de Madrid. The show, also entitled Isla Virtuosa, was much more than a concert.
Combining music, dance and visual projections, Emilia and Pablo offered a multi-sensory experience that perfectly reflected the essence of the album. The staging was undoubtedly one of the most exciting moments of the festival.
A guitar with history, a sound with soul
During the concert, Pablo performed the repertoire on a Ramírez guitar that is more than 130 years old. This model, which follows the line of the well-known Guitarra del Tiempo, not only provided a warm and deep sound, but also became a symbol of the union between past and present.
At Ramírez Guitars we are very proud to see how our instruments accompany artists as innovative and sensitive as Emilia and Pablo.
An album that marks a new direction
Isla Virtuosa represents an evolution in the duo’s style. It incorporates electronic sounds and new textures that enrich their already characteristic musical universe. Despite these changes, their artistic identity is still very present in each track.
Critics have received the album with enthusiasm. They have particularly appreciated his ability to build bridges between tradition and contemporaneity, as well as his emotional charge.
One of the highlights of the album is the song ‘Alma Vieja’, a composition that has recently been nominated for Best Alternative Song by the Spanish Academy of Music Awards. This recognition highlights not only the artistic quality of the duo, but also the innovative nature of their musical proposal.
Tour and upcoming dates
Emilia and Pablo will present Isla Virtuosa in several Spanish cities such as Barcelona, Gijón, Logroño and Alicante. They also plan to perform in their home country, Chile.
