Talk: Roque Montoya “Jarrito” – Centenary Tribute

As part of the 13th season of the Círculo Flamenco de Madrid, a special roundtable tribute to Roque Montoya “Jarrito” will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 12:00 PM, commemorating the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The event will take place at the iconic Corral de la Morería and will feature insights from Antonio Reyes, Perico Montoya, Miguel Espín, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, and Carlos Martín Ballester. Together, they will explore the life, legacy, and distinctive voice of Jarrito, one of flamenco’s most memorable cantaores of the 20th century.

This gathering will offer a unique opportunity to revisit his artistry, understand his historical context, and celebrate his contribution to flamenco through a passionate, well-documented discussion.
