Transsonus Ensemble

The Spanish Guitar Society is pleased to present a new concert in its series dedicated to contemporary guitar music, featuring the Transsonus Ensemble, a trio that has become a benchmark in the performance and promotion of original works composed for three guitars.

The recital will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the renowned “Manuel de Falla” Auditorium of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, one of the capital’s leading venues for classical and academic music.

Transsonus Ensemble will perform a program focused on contemporary works written specifically for guitar trio, as well as a selection of transcriptions and arrangements, many of which highlight the richness of Ibero-American musical creation. The ensemble is known for its refined interpretation, artistic depth, and commitment to new music.

This concert offers a unique opportunity to experience the latest trends in guitar music through a rare ensemble format, delivered by three outstanding performers.

About the Ensemble

Transsonus Ensemble is formed by Luis Malca Contreras, Héctor Leal Guío, and Alberto Blanco Bohigas—seasoned musicians with a shared passion for contemporary music. Their artistic mission encompasses both the interpretation of existing works and the expansion of the guitar trio repertoire through commissions, arrangements, and world premieres.

Among the composers who have written or adapted pieces for the ensemble are Eduardo Morales-Caso, Iván Palomares, Carles Guisado, Iván Caramés Bohigas, Rafael Junchaya, Leo Brouwer, Federico Tarazona, and Boris Alvarado, among others.

Their work bridges the classical guitar tradition with new sonic landscapes, placing special emphasis on the musical voices emerging from the Ibero-American world.
