At the age of just 7, Manolo Sanlúcar was introduced to the world of flamenco guitar, training and acquiring an exceptional mastery of musicality and technique. He was also known for his great knowledge about the history and development of Flamenco, being a fundamental figure for its diffusion.
Thus, his song “Caballo Negro” became one of the best known guitar compositions of all time, being one of the most listened to songs in Spain during 1974, despite lacking lyrics.
Manolo Sanlúcar died in August 2022 in Cádiz and, from Guitarras Ramírez, we want to pay a small tribute to him, remembering this documentary from Canal Andalucía Flamenco.
