140 YEARS CL

With these models, we celebrate almost a century and a half of history, during which we have played an active role in the transformation of the Spanish guitar. The introduction of cedar for soundboards, the ebony strip in the neck, internal carbon reinforcement, synthetic finishes, and the body shape and plantilla of the modern flamenco guitar developed by the Madrid School of Guitar Makers are just some of the important milestones that have earned us a prominent place in the history of the guitar.

The 140 Años models feature a beautiful design by Amalia Ramírez, the first woman in this dynasty of guitar makers and one of the pioneers in the profession. On this occasion, she has chosen the narcissus flower, which symbolizes “new beginnings”. She selected it after the pandemic as a way of looking towards a more optimistic and constructive future, which we know will come sooner or later.

These are study guitars featuring the plantilla of the 125, 130 and Tiempo commemorative guitars. They are highly versatile and ideal for expanding their capabilities when required. For this reason, we offer the option of fitting them with the LR Baggs system, whose combination of microphone and pickup allows you to appreciate all the nuances that make the guitar such a complete instrument—capable of functioning not only as a harmonic instrument, but also as a percussive one.
