If you are turning 18 this year, you are in luck. The Spanish Ministry of Culture has launched the new edition of the Bono Cultural Joven 2026 (Youth Cultural Bonus), bringing highly anticipated news for all music lovers: for the first time ever, the purchase of musical instruments is included!
Up until now, this voucher was intended for other types of cultural consumption, but thanks to the updates in this new call, young people will be able to allocate this direct aid to take their first steps in music or upgrade their gear.

Modality 1 (The best option to buy your guitar): You can allocate the total amount of the aid (€400) to a single category. This means you can invest the entire bonus in purchasing your musical instrument in our store.

Modality 2 (To diversify your cultural expenses): If you prefer to split the money, you can allocate up to €200 toward the purchase of a musical instrument or sheet music. The remaining €200 will be divided into physical cultural products (up to €100 for books, vinyl records, or CDs) and digital consumption (up to €100 for digital platform subscriptions or audiobooks).
Requirements and steps to apply for your Cultural Bonus
Applying for this aid requires completing an official procedure through the Government of Spain. Here are the essential steps you need to know:
- The main requirement: You must turn 18 during this year, 2026.
- Digital identification: To process the online application, it is mandatory to have a Digital Certificate (Certificado Digital) or be registered in the Cl@ve system. If you don’t have them yet, we highly recommend getting them sorted as soon as possible.
- Submit the application: Go to the official Bono Cultural Joven website and follow the steps provided to complete your registration: https://bonoculturajoven.gob.es/
- Look for affiliated stores: Pay close attention to this key detail: the bonus can only be used in establishments that are officially affiliated with the program. Before buying at any store, always ask if they accept the Bono Cultural.
