In a recent episode of the series Live Like a King in Madrid: Luxury Living in Spain, the channel’s team delves into the most authentic and exclusive corners of the Spanish capital. And among them, there had to be an essential stop for music lovers: Ram\u00edrez Guitars<\/a>. A legacy that began in 1882<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The narration is provided by Amalia Ram\u00edrez, a fourth-generation guitar maker, who guides us through the workshop located in the heart of Madrid. There, she explains that the story began with her great-grandfather, who began his training at the age of 12, around 1870, and later founded the workshop in 1882. Since then, five generations have kept the flame of Spanish lutherie alive, with the same passion for quality and innovation.<\/p>\n

Unique instruments, living history<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During the visit, the reporting team admires several iconic guitars, such as a flamenco guitar called \u2018Aurea\u2019, the result of an experiment by Amalia Ram\u00edrez. It is noteworthy that, although the structural basis of the classic models is similar, each Ram\u00edrez guitar has its own personality, as the wood is a material obtained from a tree and the process is meticulously carried out by a craftsman, which means that, despite being sister pieces, they have slight differences in sound, much to the delight of musicians. All this makes each instrument a unique piece<\/p>\n

Legendary artists, legendary guitars<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Amalia proudly recalls that artists such as Serranito<\/strong>, Manolo Sanl\u00facar<\/strong> and Paco de Luc\u00eda<\/strong>, and even international pop and rock figures such as George Harrison<\/strong>, Paul McCartney<\/strong>, Eric Clapton<\/strong> and Carlos Santana<\/strong>, have played Ram\u00edrez guitars. It is not just a list of names, but a mark of trust for many musicians.<\/p>\n

A craft that endures despite everything<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The segment also shows the less visible side of craftsmanship in Spain. Amalia highlights the difficulties faced by small businesses, from the tax burden to the lack of institutional support.
