In March a new edition of the II Festival de la Guitarra 2025 will take place in Madrid, an event that brings together musicians, enthusiasts and lovers of the flamenco guitar. During this festival, a wide range of activities will be offered, including concerts and conferences about this instrument that has such a long tradition in our capital.

Musical tradition in Madrid

Madrid is a city with a long tradition of flamenco and the guitar, and this festival pays tribute to the great figures who have left their mark. Over the years, the city has been the scene of countless recitals, historical recordings and cultural events that have helped to position Madrid as a reference point in the guitar world.

The II Guitar Festival 2025 aims to continue that tradition, offering an experience that combines protecting and disseminating history, while supporting new guitarists. The event will bring together established artists such as Víctor Monge Serranito and young talents, creating a space for meeting and learning.

Festival programme and activities

Concerts and conferences

During the festival, several days of live concerts will take place in emblematic venues of the city, such as the Real Casino de Madrid, the Ateneo de Madrid and the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. These historic venues provide the ideal setting to enjoy a very interesting programme.

Conferences and Roundtables

The festival will also feature conferences and round tables in which prominent musicologists and other personalities will share their knowledge and experiences. These spaces for dialogue will allow for an in-depth exploration of the influence of the guitar on the culture and musical history of the capital.

Partnerships and institutional support

The success of the II Guitar Festival 2025 is the result of the collaboration between various cultural institutions and renowned sponsors. Organisations such as the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, the Real Casino de Madrid and the Ateneo de Madrid have joined forces to make this event an essential date on the capital's cultural calendar. In addition, the festival has the support of private entities and organisations that share the vision of promoting talent and preserving the musical legacy.

An event for everyone

The II Guitar Festival 2025 is designed to be an accessible event for all those who love music and in particular flamenco. With free entry activities and a varied programme, the festival invites the community to actively participate and enjoy the magic of the guitar. This gathering is not only a celebration of the past, but also a look into the future, where innovation and tradition come together to create new paths in the art of guitar playing.
