At the age of 12 he entered the workshop of his teacher, Francisco Gonz\u00e1lez, whose guitar shop was located in Carrera de San Jer\u00f3nimo of Madrid. <\/p>\n<p>It must have been between 1880 and 1882 when Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez I became independent, establishing himself in the Madrid Rastro as a master guitar maker.<\/p>\n<p>Later, in 1890, he moved to Calle Concepci\u00f3n Jer\u00f3nima number 2, where his descendants continued until 1995. Currently, the store is located on Calle de la Paz No. 8, very close to the old premises. <\/p>\n<p>Once independent he became the mastero of his younger brother, <a href=\"https:\/\/guitarrasramirez.com\/es\/nosotros\/manuel-ramirez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manuel Ram\u00edrez,<\/a> and later of his son <a href=\"https:\/\/guitarrasramirez.com\/es\/nosotros\/jose-ramirez-ii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez II. <\/a>He also trained Antonio Viudes, Rafael Casana, Alfonso Benito, Juli\u00e1n G\u00f3mez Ram\u00edrez and Enrique Garc\u00eda.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez I became a fundamental part of the so-called Madrid School of Guitar Builders since, at that time, he was the most outstanding guitarmaker master of his time after the wake of Antonio de Torres.<\/p>\n<p>The flamenco guitarists of the time came to him to find solutions to the small sound projection of the guitars that were built in those days, and that could not be heard in the tablaos and cafes cantantes. This is how Jos\u00e9 I created the so-called <a href=\"https:\/\/guitarrasramirez.com\/es\/producto\/de-tablao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cGuitarra de Tablao\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This model was taken as a basis by his brother, Manuel, to later modify it and transform it into one of his templates, establishing with it the principles of what we now know as flamenco guitar and which his disciples continued to use.<\/p>\n<p>As a curiosity we can say that one of the Ram\u00edrez guitars that belonged to Agust\u00edn Barrios, exhibited at the Cabildo de Paraguay, has the same template as the \u201cGuitarra de Tablao\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_2 et_pb_section et_section_regular
