A long time ago, a guitar maker asked Cristina: \u201cHow did your father get the two of you to continue with the tradition? My son does not want to continue, he prefers to take another path \u201d. The answer was none other than \u201chaving had freedom of choice and support in making decisions about our future.\u201d Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez IV<\/a> never pressured his four sons to continue with his profession, on the contrary, he encouraged them to train and learn other disciplines.<\/p>\n

He wanted them to choose from knowledge, from the heart and from freedom; For this reason, although only two of them continue in his footsteps, his children Cristina, Almudena, Jos\u00e9 Enrique and Javier deeply admire and respect the work that his father did.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n

Only Javier started out in the workshop alongside his twin brother, Jos\u00e9 Enrique, before deciding to pursue a different path and carry on his mother's family tradition: the pharmacy trade. Almudena, a psychologist by profession, has yet to finish her first guitar.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Enrique and Cristina felt the call to this tradition from a very young age<\/strong>. The love of music and the guitar that filled the air during family gatherings was a breeding ground that ultimately shaped his life's path.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Enrique has combined his training as a luthier with his law degree; and Cristina is a graphic designer, journalist, and sound technician, and she is studying Spanish guitar at the conservatory with Ana Jenaro. He is also currently learning guitar-making techniques from his brother.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n

Both direct the workshop in two directions: Jos\u00e9 Enrique is the head of the workshop and is in charge of conducting new research, while Cristina coordinates the commercial area and the development of projects.<\/p>\n

The new models are the result of the teamwork of Amalia, Cristina and Jos\u00e9 Enrique.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n

They are currently focused on two areas: on the one hand, Amalia Ram\u00edrez\u2018s<\/a> research on the \u201cAuditorium Model\u201d<\/a> continues, an instrument with a greater projection without loss of sound quality that characterizes Ram\u00edrez guitars; while on the other, they observe her past reflected in the instruments of their great-great-great-grandfather Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez I <\/a>and their great-great-great-uncle Manuel Ram\u00edrez,<\/a> recovering ancient construction techniques, as well as glues and natural varnishes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n

Guitarras Ram\u00edrez<\/em> 's goal is to advance and develop the guitar by listening to its guitarists. Listening is the cornerstone of this craft; thanks to it, Guitarras Ram\u00edrez<\/em> has reached more than 137 years of history with the firm intention of continuing to research and create original models for the years to come and for new musicians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n
